1. How can I see the plants Royal Plam Nurseries, Inc. has available for sale?

All of the plants available for sale can be viewed on our web site and many of the plants can be viewed at our Display Nursery on SR 70 next to the Sam’s Club. The pictures included in the shopping cart show a representative photo of the size plant you can order and what it might look like in a landscape setting. Actual plants purchased will vary slightly from the photos because no two plants are exactly the same. Due to these variations we grade our plants according to the Florida Department of Agriculture Grades and Standards. All plants we sell are Florida #1 or better unless we say differently. Remember that many of the plants you can order online can be seen at our facility at 3004 53rd Ave E in Bradenton. You are welcome to browse our Display Nursery, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm year-round.

2. What are the Florida Nursery Grades and Standards?

In order to provide a uniform method of identifying the size and quality of nursery stock the Florida Department of Agriculture has established the Florida Nursery Grades and Standards. 3. Can someone show me plants at the Nursery?

We encourage you to browse our Nursery at your leisure without the pressure of a sales associate. All of our plants are clearly labeled with name, type of plant, growing conditions and information about size at maturity, bloom and color. This information is similar to the information found on our web site and will help you make an informed purchase.

4. Why isn’t someone available to help me at the Nursery?

In order to keep our overhead low and provide the best price on landscape plants and materials to our customers, we do not staff the Nursery with sales or customer service help. 5. How do I get help with a specific landscape problem?

You have a several of options. The first is to contact your local Agriculture Extension Office. This is a service of your local county government. The extension office is staffed by knowledgeable folks who can help answer your questions. In Manatee County the number is 722-4524; in Sarasota County the number is 861-9807. Your second option is to browse our Ask Andy Archives. In this area of our web site is a sample of some of the questions that are most frequently asked about Florida landscaping, plants and pests. If you can’t find your question/answer here, you are welcome to Ask Andy. Andy Reasoner is the owner and General Manager of Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. He is a fifth generation Florida nurseryman and a Certified Pest Control Operator with a degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Florida and over 40 years landscape design and installation experience throughout Florida.

6. How soon can my plant order be picked up?

After we receive your plant order we will ensure that we have everything in stock and in good condition for your installation. Within 1 business day, we will contact you via email or phone to schedule your pick-up. Plant pick-ups are scheduled twice a week on Monday and Thursday. Your order will be scheduled based on other pick-ups already on the books and your availability. The staff at Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. will be glad to help you load your order into your vehicle. We are not responsible for any damage done to your plants in transit as a result of loading the vehicle. Be sure to bring sheets to cover your plants to protect them from windburn on your way home and to protect your car from dirt that can spill from the plant containers.

7. When does Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. schedule plant deliveries?

After we receive your plant order we will ensure that we have everything in stock and in good condition for your installation. Within 1 business day, we will contact you via email or phone to schedule your delivery. Plant deliveries are scheduled twice a week on Tuesday and Friday. Your delivery will be scheduled based on other deliveries already on the books and your availability. The staff at Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. will unload your plants directly onto your driveway close to the garage. Our service does not include placing plants around your yard near their intended installation location. Someone must be at your delivery location to accept delivery of the plants when we arrive, unless you specifically authorize us to leave the plants.

8. When and how will I receive items other than plants?

When you order landscape accessories (i.e. arbors, tools, etc.) they will be sent to the address you specify in the Shipping Instructions. Shipping typically takes 5-10 business days.

9. How will I know how to plant my purchases and best care for them afterwards?

Every customer is provided Planting Tips with their purchase. These tips are available as a .pdf attachment to your online receipt and a hard copy will accompany your plants at pick-up or delivery. Landscape Care tips can be found on our web site to help you care for your landscape year round. 10. Can Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. install the plants I order on line?

Yes! If you know where you want your plants installed, you can choose the Installation option during the Check Out process and we would be glad to install your new plants. Installations typically are scheduled within 2 weeks of your purchase. If you do not know where you want your plants installed, we suggest that you contact our Landscape Design Team for a consultation rather than purchase plants without a plan. 11. What kind of warranty is there on my purchases through the Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. web site?

All plants ordered from out site are warrantied to be the plant advertised.

All plants ordered from our site and installed by the Royal Palm Nurseries, Inc. Operations Team have a 1-year Transplanting Guarantee. The Transplanting Guarantee does not cover vandalism, fire, theft, cold, pestilence, disease, storms or any other Acts of God.

All landscape accessories come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty information will accompany your order and if there is any issue you should contact the manufacturer directly.
